WSJ: Apple iPad Reviewed as Full Time Computer Replacement

The Apple iPad reviews continue to be published today. After a week of testing, Walt Mossberg does an excellent job reviewing the Apple iPad as a replacement for computers (desktop or notebooks), replacement of a netbook, and a replacement for a Kindle. Walt constantly states, “this is just not a large iPhone.”

I also was impressed with the overall speed of the iPad. Apple’s custom processor makes it wicked fast. Screens appear almost instantly, and the Wi-Fi in my home tested as fast as it does on a laptop.

In terms of the batter, Apple states battery life of the Apple iPad is up to 10 hours. However, Walt played movies and T.V. shows from 6 am until 5 pm – that’s 11 hours!

His video is well worth the listen.
