I've got all of those so I do speak from an actual users experience.
Windows 7 Media Center is the best of all of them.

Sounds like you've not used any of them. Especially Windows 7.

So you don't do updates huh?
And of course no linux desktop or serve has ever been hacked or infected
right?
Oh and you still can't play computer games, a multi-billion dollar
business on any of the 500+ linux distros.
Sorry!

Not true (I was surprised to find Rise of the Triad in Karmic. I hadn't
played that game in years!) but the new video games are made for
consoles with PCs being a second thought. Even though you may have a 2TB
hard drive, all you get to save are "checkpoints". The golden age of
computer gaming has given way to the Playstation, Wii and xBox.

Some people would consider food, water and a warm place to shit as
needs. Judging from your "style", you probably shit in the woods and eat
it and wash it down with piss and vinegar followed by "Oops...LOL!"

I has to do with "readability". Columnizing text is a personal taste
thingie.
You need it, I don't. But I'm sure if I did there is a small Windows
compatible app available.

Have you ever even opened Windows 7...or its Media Center?
If so, what exactly do you see?
Clue...all of your media (movies, pics, audio, tv etc)., at your fingertips.

The readability problems solved by Tofu have little if anything to do with
the size of the screen... nor did your claim have anything to do with *your*
preferences. If you are looking to change your claim from the universal and
silly claim that Win 7 does all that other OSs do to the more reasonable one
that Win 7 serves your needs well then I have no argument against that. I
have no desire to convince you to use any other OS than the one you want to.

I use Win 7. And your comments have nothing to do with Automator. Still.

Just so you know, you are in way over your head - if you actually had
information of value you would have shared it by now.

Yes: hence the reason I know it is not relevant.

Which is not relevant to the discussion. Please, if you need help
understanding what the OS X media browser is just ask... I can provide you
with more info!

...which begs the question: Why does this sort of bog standard sort of
thing for media server software require the very latest version of Windows
to get at? Why aren't the earlier versions of XP like this? Really, unless
Microsoft was just dropping the ball before the only thing that Win7 should
add is some additional driver support for things that didn't exist when the
previous releases didn't exist.

You mean a non-Lemming that hasn't rushed out to buy into the most
recent iteration of BS and broken promises? No.

Although I do have XP MCE, Front Row and Plex. I could even get the
current version of Sage if I really wanted to and I wouldn't have to buy
an entirely new OS to do it either.

Mindless sophistry. We're talking about computers here.

There have been a number of federal law enforcement actions on the
matter including one that dates back to illegal contracts dealing with
the preloading of MS-DOS on PCs.

There's nothing particularly interesting in most of the applications that
Lemmings like to fixate about.

How persistent do you have to be with your system updates to avoid
the "blame the user" approach to your problems when you start to have
them with Windows?

Why would it be?

I don't run apps that unecessarily blur the boundary between data and
programs and I don't run any unecessary outward facing network services.

So that's what Windows is reduced to now? Wintendo?

Don't let the rubes near a Wii. The old "games" line won't work on them anymore.

The real question is why he is focusing on a media center and ignoring the
topic of an OS-wide media browser. :)

Really? Screen size and text size has everything to do with readability.

It has everything to do with "my preference".

Then lets just say we are in agreement.

Sorry but I seriously doubt that.

And your comments have nothing to do with Automator. Still.

I think you've just proved that you don't use Windows 7.
I now know...that you are the one who is in way over his head.
Oops!

BTW FYI...I fought the mac vs pc graphic/printer/file type wars a
decade ago...and guess who won?
Oops!

Ahhhh...proof that you do use nor have you ever open Windows 7 Media Center.

Of course it is.

The vid was lying or mis leading?

I doubt that seeing as you're in a real sate of confusion and denial.

But keep going...I'm enjoying seeing someone even deeper in denial that
cody is.

Not with the readability problems solved by Tofu - correct. In fact, Tofu
does *nothing* to make your screen even a little bigger, though you can set
the font size in it to pretty much anything you want.

A softening of your initial claim. Great... much less controversial.

Windows 7 will do everything including all that the others can't do.

Your current claim is just about you and not about Windows 7. Use what you
like.

In the idea that you should use what you like - sure.

Doubt what you wish... but look up my comments... I have spoken often about
it and my liking of it.

By all means - tell me what you think Media Center has to do with
*Automator*. Really... you are simply clueless.

Given your current inability to make a point, no doubt you lost.
