Guess again snake.

based on your previous behavior.

You're the lying FUD spreader in here. This is after all, an ng
supposedly about Windows 7, something you don't have, nor use.

To my knowledge,

I guess I'd be referring to non-MediaCenter Editions of Windows...and
apparently, MS has included a DVD decoder in Home Premium & Ultimate in
Windows 7.

That's a first.

Lying comes so naturally to you, you don't even think about it.
As the sign says, this is a Windows 7 ng not a linux ng. Of course to a
lying characterless linturd troll like you that means nothing. You are a
real low life POS creep.

You are one sick POS. At least I have the money to purchase Windows and
I use it. You on the other hand are obviously broke and can only use
pirated copies of Windows...and you spend all day long dissing Windows
and promoting that useless POS toy os you're so in love with.
Now look who is talking.

I've dumped so many distros in the past. That is why I now use VMWare
to try them out. If they don't work, it is very easy to get rid of
them... I just drag and drop the vm image for the distro into the trash
can. VirtualBox, tho it is free, is buggy, so that too went into the
trash can. Linux is ok if you are running it on an IBM mainframe and
program custom apps for business and get IBMs help along the way. For
home use, it really isn't worth the effort as in the final analysis the
os that your are using as a host does all that one needs anyway.

But I also have Totem on Solaris 10. It won't play dvds either as Sun
says it violates some laws so they don't supply the necessary libs and
codecs. For the casual user after they install Ubuntu they'll find that
there are too many technical hurdles to jump or that the technical
hurdles become barriers to their own knowhow. I can see why many just
toss it out as it is free after all and don't feel any monetary loss.
It becomes a matter of value perception. For me, it wasn't the
technical barrier but having to find the necessary parts to make it work
out there on the web and for me it was 'where to look first'. I do have
IT experience with older VAX systems and UNIX systems, but the one thing
I always relied on was the vendor information support.

I haven't tried that one yet. It will actually depend on how well
VMWare will treat it.

Yeah I stopped multi-boot installing linux distros with Windows because
that POS grub loader could not be gotten rid of without a major effort.
The last OS other than Windows that I was excited about was BEos, but
Apple killed that one, so now I'm only interested in Windows and I
really like 7 and Windows Home Server.
Great products!

Not from that site, but from another mirror site. It was a bit
confusing. It was to download the DVD that had everything on it.
Now I can't find it. Anyway, the update manager shows an upgrade path
for 8.10.

Are you sure? I can play dvds on my iMac using FrontRow.

With all the computers you *say* you have, why do you have to dual boot?

If you want to be held by the hand, install Mint. It's based on Ubuntu
but comes with everything already installed and ready to use right out
