That is your first problem. Get the malware off your PC and you shouldn't
have a problem. Typical idiot like yourself doesn't update the antivirus
definitions. You deserve Ubuntu. Worth what you pay for it: NOTHING.

Just think, in 20 years, Ubuntu might have another 17 users.

The biggest problem I have found with Linux distros is that they are
completely unsuitable for the WORK I need to do on a PC and the thing that
puts a lot of potential users off, is the ever so superior, and patronising
attitude of so called Linux experts.

IMHO Linux has still got a very long way to go before it could be
considered a serious replacement for windows, or be as easy to use and
install.

I also like windows 7 which works extremely well on this quad core PC and
also on a Pentium 4 3.0ghz pc. The only PC I could not get windows 7 to
work on was an old Celeron laptop with 512 Mb RAM, and before the Linux
brigade chime in it wouldn't run ubuntu either! Or rather it would but it
was as slow as a very slow thing and would not find a network or a printer.
With windows 7 I did not have to install many drivers, the only exception
being a new scanner, produced after the release date.

With Linux I did not have to install any drivers - everything worked 'out

Sorry Ray, but you are one of the the reasons that Linux has not taken off
due to all the crap and childish insults you spout about an amateur OS that
is incompatible with mainstream business systems. It will never go further
until it is at least as easy to install and have as many useful apps as
windows. Non-techies will not understand it as it is too complex for an
average user.

IMHO it is an interesting diversion to play with on a non critical machine,
nothing more.

You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts. Ubuntu is
more user friendly than Windows of any flavor and /much/ easier to
install. Ill informed people (or liars) like you who believe the FUD is
why Linux hasn't spread as quickly as it should.

So you think that Oracle is NOT a "mainstream business system"?

http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/linux/index.html

So you think that SAP is NOT a "main stream business system"?

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/linux

Then I wish you would tell us what you DO think is a "main stream business
system" - or are perhaps you only thinking of stuff the corner shop runs?

And here you have J D Edwards on Linux as well.

http://news.cnet.com/2100-1001-935840.html

That's ALL THREE of the largest global CRM/ERM systems running on Linux.

NOW will you tell us what YOU think is a "main-stream business system"?
