AppleInsider quotes KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and suggests a larger iPhone may not be released this fall. The iWatch also faces delays.
According to Kuo, Apple is already facing production bottlenecks on the 4.7-inch model related to the new technology for the device’s in-cell touch panel, as well as color unevenness on the redesigned “iPhone 6” metal casing. Those problems are said to be even worse with the larger 5.5-inch model.
Current iPhone 6 rumors include larger screen sizes, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, thinner design, and a faster 2GHz 20nm 64-bit next-generation A8 System on Chip (SoC). The A8 will be manufactured by TSMC and Samsung.
