North Carolina’s Supreme Court strikes down redistricting maps

The Supreme Court of North Carolina struck down redistricting maps for the state. The Court concluded maps enacted in S.L. 2021-175, S.L. 2021-173, and S.L. 2021-174 are unconstitutional beyond a reasonable doubt under the free elections clause, the equal protection clause, the free speech clause, and the freedom of assembly clause of the North Carolina Constitution.
