many thanks for the time to respond. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library was
the error. I went through a long process to start word first by using the
support.dot template following all 5 steps, 1st typing in the name of the
program /a switch atleast gave me a chance to keep from getting kicked out
of word. Working fine now
My a/v is McAfee total protect 2010 updated on 4-18. I agree with you and
feel the computer has a trogan, due to the slowness and will not tun off.
Since I don't have the password or ID for this computer that was given to
me...need to add a new post
