I find Brasero to be superior to Nero or anything else Windows. Pop in a
blank CD or DVD and choose Burn and navigate to where you have the file
you want to burn. Gosh, is that too complicated for you?

Not only does it come with a program to translate, you can change the
language of the entire OS on the fly. NO version of Windows can do that.

All versions of Windows since XP are unicode and MUI compliant.
So you can install either the native language OS or use a language pack.
For Native languages you have to install the OS in that language.
Language packs are for changing languages "on the fly."

so you find "brasero" superior to Nero? How about this:

Brasero was later integrated into GNOME and the version numbers were aligned
with GNOME desktop version numbering. Ars Technica reviewed Brasero 2.26,
then the newest version, in March 2009, saying:
[Brasero has] improved a bit since [2008] and has added support for video
and several other features. The project user interface, however, seems to
have worsened. They have gotten rid of the useful disc capacity meter at the
bottom and replaced it with a size indicator element that is displayed next
to each item in the file list.
They have also added a file filtering mechanism of some kind at the bottom
of the window. It isn't entirely clear to me what purpose it is supposed to
serve, but it seems like unnecessary clutter. I also strongly dislike the
superfluous file preview feature which wastes a lot of screen space in order
to display a playable video thumbnail. The preview feature is fortunately
easy to disable.
The whole programs feels uncharacteristically clunky by GNOME standards, but
it's a lot more functional than the stale and unambitious CD burning
component that was included in previous versions of GNOME. I think that
Brasero is the right way forward in the long term, but the user interface
really doesn't please me.
My biggest complaint with the old Nautilus CD burner is that it didn't give
you clear visual hints about how much space you have left when you are
putting in files to burn. The fact that Brasero dropped that feature is a
bit of a disappointment. It seems like the task of building a good disc
burning UI with GTK+ is not trivial and it's something that I suspect will
take a skilled designer rather than a developer.
Despite the problems with Brasero's interface, it's really a very capable
program with a rich feature set, which leaves me hopeful that it will be
able to really shine someday.[5]

The language packs don't change the entire OS' language. With Ubuntu you
can do that and you can run multiple languages for different
applications. Only Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise can do that now, a
decade after Ubuntu could.

No you are wrong on several counts.
XP had MUI and unicode and supported language packs.
Vista and Win7 do the same, you just need to install the Ultimate and
Enterprise versions.
As a matter of fact I remember testing DBCS on NT4SP4 for Language packs..
Regarding Ubuntu having that for a decade...The first version of Ubuntu was
released in 2004 to the public. A mere 6 years ago...

Reading through some documentation for Ubuntu, I see nothing on how to run
multiple languages during 1 session (Different languages for open apps
during the same session.)
I would be interested in reading about that...can you please post a link.

You are wrong about XP - Since you have never run one, I am not
urprised. -- I know all about this area of Windows because I ran one of the
test teams using MUI Language packs - The MUI language pack installs a
language on the OS. [1]
Since you apparently have never loaded one up you have not seen one in
action. In my EXPERIENCE, I haven't seen one that didn't include the almost
whole OS, the requirement was a minimum of 80% (most were closer to 100%.)

This lack of even trying to show me something that you say Ubuntu does makes
me believe that you know almost nothing about Ubuntu's workings, much less
anything about how Windows works. How about trying to prove some Ubuntu
expertise and tell me how to install multiple language packs per user
session so that I can use applications in 2 or more different languages in
the one session. Here's a clue -- I don't think it can do this. I think
you made it up. There is no documentation on this so called feature. I
don't think you've ever installed a MUI language pack in any OS. Please
prove me wrong.
