I just bought two high end laptops that came with Win 7 preinstalled.
I'm still cleaning up the crap ware and updating the suckers. Now,
according to YOU, I have every right in the world to post here (not that
I didn't with or without Windows 7).

Windows 7 is much better than any Linux distro. Even in 10 years, the
Linux version released will still be light years behind Windows 7 as of now!

You must believe I'm as brain dead as you.
You asked once how to get the newest linux kernel added thru synaptic.
Adding a repository was beyond your skill.
Twas when I knew you didn't squat about an OS you claimed to be
installing/supporting.

Nice going Alias. I've only been a lurker on this group for the past couple
of months or so and am glad that one of you that argues the Windows vs Linux
debate in a Windows newsgroup has stepped up and made the right call to stop
it. Anybody else that continues to push buttons for an argument.... well,
just let them run their traps.......it'll get old to them sooner or later.

I know all about the Linux vs Windows turf war. I've used at one time or
another every OS available. I currently use Windows 7 almost exclusively
because it is a very good OS. At least for me it's been great so far...even
through beta any problems I had were minimal. Also, I've been using
computers since back when a 5-1/4 floppy drive was the thing to have and my
monitor was a 13" TV. I'm not a newbie. I said that I've been lurking in
this group for a couple of months now. It's not the first time I've used
usenet and found OS turf wars....far from it. My point was while sometimes
amusing, the constant bickering back and forth gets old and in the way of
people that are here to give good advice, so if someone wants to call it a
truce so to speak, then I think that's a good thing. And I don't plonk
anyone..... never have I guess because I do find argumentative posts amusing
at times and once in a while there's actually useful info within the posts.
Simple as that.

If that's what you want to call it I guess, but that wasn't my intention. I
was simply commenting on what I thought was at least a good gesture. It's up
to him to follow through with it. If he doesn't, then it's no skin off my

If you believe anything that Alias post, then you are a n00b.
That moron says he's gonna stop every few months.
He will for a week maybe, then he'll smoke one too many bowls, screw up his
Win7 install, and be at it all over again.
Or, Mint will go bonkers on him.
OSes give his IQ too strenuous of a workout.
And, for a guy making $14,000/week, buying 2 laptops seems an awful big
deal.
Hahahaha

It's always amusing...and if you don't find it as such, then it's best not
to read it.

As long as he post anywhere on USENET, he's made a lot of friends that like
to torment him.
It's fun too.

Still the commoners on the street shouldn't be put in the position of
taking the bait and ending up like test-tube lab rats. They hook 'em with
that free shit then fuck 'em good.
