Andre wonders what Tablets would be good for Longhorn?
Yeah, supporting Longhorn is going to be a bigger and bigger concern over the next year.
I’ve learned over the years though to purchase computers for what I need today. There will always be cheaper, faster, better computers down the road. If I can wait, all the better.
So when we get close to Longhorn launching I’ll start narrowing my Tablet choices to those that support Longhorn. For now, I’m most interested in display resolution, battery life, and performance because those matter to me most while I work.
You’re narrowing your choices because you already have a Tablet PC. It’d be a change in technology that would allow you to change what you can do.
Plus, I don’t think I’d want to install Longhorn Beta on my primary Tablet PC. If I only had one, I don’t think I’d consider Longhorn right now. It’s too far out. I’ll have to think about this a little more.
I agree. I’m going to wait a bit for installing Longhorn on a Tablet. When Microosft gets closer to launching Longhorn, I’ll start rethinking this.
