Windows Live Writer is ink friendly

If you’re a blogger and Tablet owner, you should check out Windows Live Writer. The new blogging app from Microsoft is quite ink friendly. Without too much effort you can add ink to your blog posts.

Actually, I should let you know, Live Writer is in beta and to prove that point I’ve managed to crash the app a couple times, however, if you have a hard hat and are eager for more blogging tools, I recommend it.

Here’s the deal: As my previous post discusses, you can ink–well, kind of. You can ink in Windows Journal or OneNote and then copy/paste your ink into Live Writer.

The ink is pasted as an image which isn’t the ideal (resizing can affect the quality of the image), however, the gain is worth it.

So far I’ve tried Live Writer with this Movable Type blog. I hope others work as well.

Update: Live Writer doesn’t do what I thought it did. The ink image isn’t uploaded to the server. Sorry for the false alarm. However, there is good news. Live Writer does allow for content plugins so I wonder if there’s a way to get around this.
