Toshiba captured a spotlight on a Phoenix news story this morning about Tablet PCs at Brophy College Preparatory school. Brophy providea three great videos of their uses of mobile PCs for school work: planning for a Tablet PC program, Best Practices for a Tablet PC Pilot Program in Education, and Student Perspectives on Tablet PCs in Education. Thanks newscaster for the heads up, and thanks, Brophy, for your forward thinking about student and teacher learning.
Samsung demoed their Q1 Ultra-Mobile PC on CNBC TV’s Power Lunch a few minutes ago. They say this UMPC is for students, travelers, and others who want a lighter weight and more compact, fully functioning PC that uses Vista or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. A great introductory interview for teachers to find and see, because it gives a glimpse of tools to come sooner than later for student learning. Thanks, Walt Mossberg, for your review of the Q1 yesterday. And thanks, Loren, for your comments about the review.
