Yesterday I took a break from Christmas shopping and visited a friend, Matt Kim who runs a nanotechnology company (QuantTera) here in Phoenix. Matt always has something interesting going on. This time around he gave us a tour of his updated lab and some of the nano-photonic devices they are working on. Very cool.
Although I spend almost all of my time in the software realm these days, I started out on the hardware side. In fact, to this day I still enjoy looking at, learning about, and checking out “real” tools–spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, and the like.
