What Bill and Melinda Gates Want You to Know about Schools

Oprah shows online what Bill and Melinda Gates want you to know about U.S. schools. They call for community action to help reform failing schools.

If people respond to their call and if they implement more of the examples on Oprah’s show, teaching and schooling as we have known it for almost a century will (not could or may) change dramatically.

For example, imagine a school with no textbooks, students working in laboratories with school days from 7AM to 5PM, plus students with homework.

I wonder how many people, including educators, share the vision of schooling Oprah, Bill and Melinda support.
