According to Deputy Assistant Secretary Philippe Reines, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was hospitalized today after a blood clot was discovered during a checkup. Little details were provided to the press.
Mrs. Clinton fell three weeks ago and received a concussion. She will remain in the hospital for 48 hours as she is given anticoagulants.
According to NPR’s Michele Kelemen, Mrs. Clinton is the most-traveled secretary of state. An interactive on the State Department website shows that Clinton has logged more than 949,000 miles.
