I've got an DV6308 with Vista Home Premium installed... the wireless
adapter is a Broadcom rated at 54Mb, and the LAN is a typical 10/100.
The problem I'm having is that transferring anything over the network is
interminably slow. Whether I go over the wireless, or plug a cable into
the router, the throughout seems to be about 2MB/s. This holds true for
one large file, or many small ones.
I know I'm not going to get the theoretical 6.75MB/s, but 2? With my
old Compaq R3000 with XP Pro, I would average about 4MB/s. Same router.
Is this another manifestation of the known Vista file handling issues?
Is it the hardware?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ryan
