My personal experience, which lots of others agree with me, is that,
generally, Symantec/Norton personal products are nothing but bloated and
resource hungry junk, their anti virus holds the lead in that.
Their corporate products are decent though.
I would suggest avoiding Norton Anti Virus and use a combination of a
free anti virus and free anti spyware.
I use Avast and have no complaints, along with Malwareytes.

You can't beat that price.
I am even considering paying for the real time protection option for
Malwareytes, from what I have seen from and from reading in other
newsgroups of recommendations of its real time protection option.
