I have had McAfree software on my computer. I have change to a new provider,
and have uninstall McAfree. Could this be some files left over on my
computer? And if so can I remove them?. They are taking up a lot of space.

By general convention .tmp files are temporary files and can be safely
deleted. If unsure, put them into a Junk folder, wait a week, then delete
them permanently if all is well.
