Since you didn't say, "I think" this time, I suppose you will site proof
for your statement? Or is your comment also lacking truth?

Oh come on now! Twayne has already posted hundreds of sites proving his
claim of registry cleaners "improving performance and speeding up boot
times", including his very, very, own, "documentation reports" (snort).
You must have been asleep at the switch? For shame!

You lie: I have only done so once, long ago. The White Papers
have never been repeated here - I figure you closed minds can
find and/or already know how wrong you are so it's up to you
to get yourselves up to date.

I guess you're right. His registry cleaners is very similar to all the
automobile gas saving ideas.
I accelerate slowly and save 10%
I don't exceed 60 MPH and save 8%
I have regular tune-ups and save 30%.
I fill up at night (when its cold and therefore the gas is denser) and save
15%.
I installed a pressure regulator on my gas line and now save 35%.
Brakes are adjusted to eliminate drag (friction) and I save 12%
I removed the roof rack to eliminate drag and saved 18%
PROBLEM is: I now have to remove gas from my tank every few days.

Which are nothing more than empty opinions like yours? Give proof of
your statements or stop posting what you "think" is right. No one will
tell me that what I use isn't useful. I see the results. I don't
recommend them to users, but I use them, and they work. If you don't
have the experience, don't mirror others comments as fact.

So first you state, "I don't and won't use them", then say you do have
experience with them. Either you have or you haven't, not both.

I don't see any reason to carry on with this conversation.

Are you really that dense? I used one registry cleaner several years ago to
get experience,
find out what they're all about, what they define as orphans etc.
As one MVP labeled them------they're nothing but snake oil.
They do nothing for you but can really damage your OS.

Hi John,

Yes, I see we cross paths in quite a few. Small world, eh?

No, for a very long time you've shown your ignorance about
them, including especially any of the more recent releases. My
advice is USE A REPUTABLE, BRANDED REGISTRY CLEANER and you'll
not have any problems. I never have, nor have any of the
considerable number of people I know.
Unknown is simply a follower and sock puppet who like to
try to make himself believe he can get power by taking it from
others. But he never succeeds.

Ahh, that's telling. It was probably "Joe Kok's rejistree
cleaner cupreem" and since you tried one, you think all others
are the same. You need to talk to that hand that's up your
butt.

Afraid to identify your leader? The hand that's up your butt?
Someday you might have an original thought, but ... don't hold
your breath. Acutally, yeah, go ahead and hold your breath,
on second thought.

What a waste of skin & ether.

Tis unfortunate you are brainwashed into thinking they do some good. Like I
stated many times, you must sell them for a living. They do NOT in any way
improve performance of a computer. They create problems and do NOT cure any.
Microsoft themselves quit them.
This subject has been hashed over and over and each time a registry cleaner
caused a problem and was posted, you completely ignored it. How obnoxious
can you get? Why do you insist on leading new users of computers astray?
You continue to use the words 'ignorance about them' to almost all MVPs BUT,
in reality it is intelligence.
Your advice "USE A REPUTABLE, BRANDED REGISTRY CLEANER and you'll not have
any problems"
could indeed be true if the cleaner did nothing but YOU'LL HAVE NO BENEFITS
WHATSOEVER and WILL
have a potential danger.. .

You must be looking in a mirror and talking to yourself.
You described yourself perfectly.
