Turn Off Spell Checker in Office 2007

Hello,
We are looking for a way to turn the proofing tools off in office 2007 for
both spelling and grammar, we have a number of student tests in the next few
months where they will not be allowed access to this functionality.

Whilst i appreciate you can turn the spelling and grammar functions off in
office 2007 via the options menu we need to have it set so that the students
cannot turn this functionality back on.

If anyone can point us in the right direction with this i would appreciate it.

We are running on Windows XP Pro / Office 2007

Many Thanks

M Riley

I'm not sure this'd work but it's worth a try on a test system: uninstall
Office, then reinstall using a Custom installation. Elect NOT to install the
proofing tools.

Actually, it might be enough to re-run setup and simply REMOVE the proofing
tools (ie, mark them as unavailable for install). I'd give that a try first.

Steve,
Thanks for the info, this will work fine for what we need.

I have tested this and can confirm that you can simply remove this
functionality using add / remove programs.

Many Thanks
