I was knee deep into fixing the network interaction that I didn't pay attention to one of the most vital steps in running websites - the sitemap.
The cost of this mistake was huge. Worse, I cannot recall the changes made around April 24 for causing the drop nor the changes made around the 15th.
Fortunately Sitemap for Xenforo exists and installation almost went without a hitch.
The challenge was getting all of the sitemap files to build. An Internal Server error kept stopping the cron job. After looking closely, it became a question of the option to have the sitemap include pages. The option was changed and the sitemap was linked to Google Webmaster Tools.
Hopefully the sites will see an increase in traffic.
