synchronize home and work outlook accounts, possible?

Is it possible to synchronize Outlook on two computers over the
internet, so a home machine and a work machine update one another
whenever a message is sent, or read?

Stop using POP. Get an e-mail account that supports IMAP access.

Interesting, I never heard of that, I found this:

IMAP is probably the best answer. But, you can leave messages on the
server until the message is deleted. That way, the message is available
for when you use the the other machine. You can limit the time the
message is left on the server, to seven days also.

These are Account, Server settings in Thunderbird, and OE. I suspect
they'd be about the same place in Outlook. Message Rules would let you
forward mail to another account. If you forwarded to the same account,
that could open a can of worms, as it loaded up your inbox!

For the sent messages, in Thunderbird, set the email client to forward a
copy to the account. I couldn't find this option in OE.
