Try downloading and installing the CCleaner utility from
www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner.
Configure the program via the Options / Cookies menu, to keep
those Cookies you want to preserve. Leave the remaining cookies
in the Cookies to Delete list.
Click on the Cleaner icon (the icon looks like a brush). Check
the relevant boxes, to select the cleaning options that you want
to perform. Then, click on Run Cleaner. I have found that
CCleaner is far more efficient than the standard History deletion
functions of Internet Explorer.
However, CCleaner also includes an optional Registry Cleaner
function. There is no need to scan or clean your registry and
most experts advise against the use of ANY registry cleaner.
Consequently, you use the optional Registry Cleaning function at
your own risk.
