The disadvantage, of course, is that you have to have a license for
the copy of XP that you install. If you have a spare license, that's
all well and good. Otherwise, you might as well upgrade to Win7Pro /
Ultimate and use XP mode.

No it's not a typo. It's a problem in your brain.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/typo

": an error (as of spelling) in typed or typeset material"

Last I knew, there wasn't an X or a P in Vista, or 7...or Seven
for that matter. Or in Vista SP1, or SP2.

A typo would have been typing Vosta, or Seben, hitting a key
next to the one you really wanted.

That stuff happens when you get old....in some, it's the mind
that starts to go, in some, it's the body. Some both.

Narcissism makes Franks opinions faftual.

(Frank, I left that there, to show you what a real 'typo' is.)

That was not the point of the post. It was about virtual machine software.

No kidding.
A real flop....150 *million* installs.
Poor Microsoft.

Some idiots confuse a few whiney assholes with an actual failure.

Seeming as the last count that MS posted was 180 million in
July 2008, and then there was 15'ish more months before 7 went
on sale, what happened to the 30 million more they claimed in
July 2008 and all the other licenses sold in the 15 months
after that ?

> Some idiots confuse a few whiney assholes with an actual
> failure.

It was a technological failure at launch time and needed two
service packs to finally become stable.

Forced sale through OEM channels..........that is why the
sales were high. If the OEMs stop selling XP and only sold
Vista, how could it not be commercially successful ?
(Rhetorical.)

No, what explains everything I say is dumbasses with lame-brain opinions
posting as fact.

You're another Vista basher, no?

And yet, numbers don't back you up.

Unless, now 200,000,000+ installs is a failure?

I mean, compared to your 12 library installs of ubroketoo, I suppose 200
million is nothing.

Get lost, loser.

Go do some spell-checking.
Make some coffee, too.

Not if you have an oem XP disk from a PC you no longer use - which is
the case for most people who move to W 7.

Why are you bringing up a Linux distro ? Nobody ever mentioned
Linux at all in this thread.

Vista is not Linux.

You have no clue as to what OS I'm using.

> I suppose 200 million is nothing.

Yeah, OK, Vista's a great OS, and was from day one.

You won.

How's that?

Is that what you wanted to hear ?

I know.
Vista actually works.

Don't care.
I notice you gotta put Xnews w/WINE to appease the Lintards.

Yes, the Lintards, of which, I am not.

Booting to either OS, I still use the same copy of XNews, so it
says that regardless of what OS it is.
