The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores for 2011 have been released. All 50 states and the District of Columbia tested students. Compared to 2009, Science scores for eight graders increased from 150 to 152. This slight increase is considered statistically sound.
Most states only had 1% to 4% students score advanced in science. The number of students scoring proficient greatly varied by state.
