rocker button in IE8

My rocker button on my laptop does not work in IE8. The "rocker" button is
the button in between the left click and right click buttons that is supposed
to scroll up and down. It works in WORD and in other browsers, but not IE8.
Has anyone else come across this before?

Thank You,
Cathy

Not much help.... but..

I hadn't come across it before but then I have never used the rocker
button (or center click button as Acer calls it) as I use a mouse
instead.

My Acer laptop rocker seems to work in almost all applications except
IE8.

Why are you replying to me?
What on earth has your reply got to do with a rocker button?
What does "I Be DAM it WORKS" mean?

Have you tried running IE in No Add-ons mode? It's possible that a 3rd party
add-on is stopping this from working.

What would pressing a "rocker button" do in normal mouse terms?
E.g. some kind of mouse wheel messages?
Try using XMBC for its diagnostics?

Good luck
