Problem with Win 7 desktop themes

I'm finding that when I choose my desktop themes where the background
picture rotates from time to time, that after some time the background
stops switching. I go into the background configuration and it shows
only one picture selected out of the dozen in the theme pack. Not sure
what's causing this. Anybody seen it?

Yes, I see the same thing on my laptop.

Well, at least I'm not alone.

I've noticed that if I change any one part of a theme, then it reverts to an
Unsaved Theme, sometimes this will also only include the last picture shown
on the desktop. Perhaps you modified something included with the theme and
Windows decided to make it a "new" Unsaved Theme? Right-click, then select
Personalize to see if you have an Unsaved Theme selected.

I did notice the "Unsaved Theme", and that's how I figured something
must've changed. But I don't recall making any changes to my themes at
all during those times.

I have seen how even changing the "change picture" time in the theme
causes it to become an unsaved theme, so I would've made those kinds of
changes, and then promptly saved them. So if changes needed to me made,
then I would've consciously changed and saved them everytime.
