though I no longer recall what was wrong with it, I wouldn't recommend it pctools anti spyware. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - Microsoft Partner - @hotmail.com ~~~~~~~~~~"share the nirvana" - dbZen > > <rmcevoy@rcn.com> wrote in message news:52sao5tdovi28i10aojr397lqrrvp5l4bc@4ax.com... > Can some one give me some information on this product or are there > othe tools available that are better ? > > Thanks > Bobr
Google Pack offers a free version of Spyware Doctor: http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html I tried it, then uninstalled it. MBAM suits me better: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php <rmcevoy@rcn.com> wrote in message news:52sao5tdovi28i10aojr397lqrrvp5l4bc@4ax.com... > Can some one give me some information on this product or are there > othe tools available that are better ? > > Thanks > Bobr
For your own safety and peace of mind, I would strongly recommend to you Microsoft Security Essentials or MSE for short. All other products are completely useless and likely to corrupt your system. http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials hth <rmcevoy@rcn.com> wrote in message news:52sao5tdovi28i10aojr397lqrrvp5l4bc@4ax.com... > Can some one give me some information on this product or are there > othe tools available that are better ? > > Thanks > Bobr

That's just your own opinion. I've used Avast and AVG on my PC's with no problems. Roy Smith Windows 7 Home Premium

I found Spyware Doctor more complicated than necessary ti uninstall and I bought the paid version of SuperAntiSpyWare for only $9.95 for online download version. I use the paid version of Avira. I use to run the paid AVAST but the only time it found anything was when my subscription was about to expire. It announced my computer had a virus called SuperAntiSpyWare despite residing together fine for one year. There are a lot of good free or paid programs. I read a lot of reviews from different sources before choosing the two I use. You may want to use that Google thing to find out which programs are rated the best. Handy invention, that Google.
I do NOT use Avast and AVG on my PC's with no problems.
