Our separate 64-bit world

I am a long-time user of OneNote 2003 and now, of course, 2007.

Is there is one place that someone has captured and published those OneNote
tools PowerToys, anything "extra") that will not work in a 64-bit OS?

I have just built a new computer and installed Win7 64-bit. I realized that
I was going to set up the work-around for printing to ON2007, which I did.
That works.. good... but the next 'toy was Sorting. That didn't seem to place
the icon despite several reboots, so I began to wonder -- I did a lot of
searching including the blogs of John Guin and Dan Escapa. No luck there.

I don't want to work in ON2010 yet. Too many issues as of even recent posts
for ON. No one at work has even left Office 2003 anyway.

Unfortunately there is no place where PowerToys are collected and
listed.
In the past the "OneNote PowerToys" website
http://www.onenotepowertoys.com/
used to be a great place.
But the two guys who ran this site obviously have given up the project
and the site has not been updated for a long time.
One can not even reach them {siiigh}.

AFAICS we would urgently need someone who would run a site.

It seems that you are out of luck.

I take the liberty to disagree. As to my experience there are no
problems with the Beta. And definitely no showstopper at all. I have
been using it since last July and I am very happy with it.

Rainald, thanks for your response. Well, perhaps others will respond with
their experiences installing PowerToys in their 64-bit systems. Can someone
who is using 2010 on a 64-bit system also comment on his/her experience with
add-in capabilities? I believe many of the PowerToys are still needed with
the 2010 version -- like Sort and Table of Contents.

As to my colleagues: I work in a public school and the central management of
laptops has decreed slow software upgrade/improvement. I use and like my
Lenovo X61t tablet at work for almost all that the "issued" machine would do.
It's not an environment where using the best possible software is important.

So, everyone, please tell us what OneNote PowerToys worked for you in Win7
64-bit. Thanks, in advance for your contributions!

I'm sorry, I don't use a 64-bit OS. I have no applications which might
benefit from 64-bit and not enough RAM (Win7 64 does not make sense with
less than 8GB RAM). So I'm using Win7 Ultimate 32 with XP in the
XP-mode and Vista Enterprise 32 on my old machine. So I can't be of
help.

Not only "some"!! Almost everything
AFAICS nothing if the daily needed things - like the ones you named -
has been taken into the core product.
Obviously the device of the developers has been to leave out everything
for which PowerToys exist.
I do not understand this kind of attitude at all. {siiigh}

Even under these circumstances I can not understand this attitude if it
comes to OneNote.
ON2003 was great new app at its time. But it was just a first shot.
Only its second version brought the necessary instruments like internal
hyperlinks.
Compared to ON2007 the old version is really poor. Therefore IMHO - even
under general policies of not always going for the "latest and the
greatest" - staying with ON2003 meant a big loss of productivity.

Don't make the same mistake again
Let your colleagues upgrade to ON2010 ASAP.

I'd be willing to help, too. I haven't paid much attention to the 2010 beta
as of yet but the end of the school year is approaching so I'd have more time
to write for and mount some sort of basic web page with listings of PT
definitions, source(s), and code status. Screenshots would be helpful.
