Associated Press published that the NFL and the referees' union have reached a tentative deal on an 8-year contract. The 121 member union must ratify the agreement.
NFL and NFLRA released a joint communication.
“Our officials will be back on the field starting tomorrow night,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said. “We appreciate the commitment of the NFLRA in working through the issues to reach this important agreement.”

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the existing defined-benefit plan will remain in place for five years until the referees are rolled over into a 401(k) plan.
