My Tablet screen has atarted quivering and going black.

I have had my tablet PC for a few years. I switched to tablet mode recently and my screen started quivering and blacking out. I was worried it was crashing but I was able to get it shut down. I though it was just tablet mode but it just id it again in normal mode? I immediately backed up but where to look for the problem. I have malware and I don't think I have any viruses. Everything else seems to be fine? Please advise i am in school and this computor is everything:) lol
