Downloading video to Movie Maker via USB is hit and
miss even when it tries to work. I doubt that the camera
you describe has a firewire port.
Anyway...the following article shows some graphics that
may help you identify the port if your computer has one:

Your best bet may be to download the video to a folder
on your hard drive / convert it to the .wmv format and then
import it into Movie Maker.
The following freeware can do the conversion:
(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

(FWIW...when installing...you may want to uncheck
all the boxes on the final screen)
