No, I don't. Got proof of this libel? I didn't think so.

No one was sued. Microsoft was taken to court for *stealing*.

Yes, they were sued for patent infringement.

They were accused and convicted of stealing a patent.

Care to show where the term "stealing" was found in any of the court
documents?
No...OOPS!

Hey you idiot - Microsoft was ordered to pay more than $160 million. If
that isn't being sued, then I don't know what is. They lost in court.

If I had two chairs, put you in one chair and a rock in the other chair, I
would probably get better responses from the rock.

You shouldn't get so stoned. Go outside and run in traffic.

what news Numbnuts?? Since when is it your fucking job to tell people what
to read !! Anyone who "might" have a interest in reading that article has
already read it! Anyone here really does not give a fuck about what you post
and or what you say because you insist on not posting anything intelligent.
When you start doing said posts then I am sure someone will care about what
you say! Until then do us all a favor and SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

To be completely accurate, Alias never told anyone to read
anything.

He posted a link. You and everyone else chooses on whether or
not to read it.

Don't read it then, no ones putting a gun to your head, or any
others here, now are they ?

Or do you click on any link offered like it's req'd ?
(Rhetorical)

> Anyone who "might" have a
> interest in reading that article has already read it!

I had an interest, and hadn't seen it before. And actually,
I'm sure almost none of the regular readers of this group had
seen it either. I had no idea a suit was filed, or that it
went to court. Not everyone subscribes to the ZDNet, PCthis,
PCthat, Computerworld, etc. newsfeeds.

You don't find it interesting that a company accusing other
companies, and suing other companies, of infringing on their
IP, does so themselves ?

My personal beliefs are that handing out patents for computer
related items at this stage in the game, unless it's a *truly*
revolutionary thing, are out of control.

Yes, I understand companies should get rewarded for what they
have developed, and I'm not saying they shouldn't, but come
on, some of these things are utterly ridiculous.....

.....for instance, U.S. patent 7,617,530, recently procured by
MS.

This patent somehow covers a Window that pops up with User
names that have Admin privileges. You need to do a task under
standard type user, UAC would kick in and show you a window of
all user names that have the req'd privileges for the task,
and you would pick it in the window.

Here's a link with mumbo jumbo explaining it clearly

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2355877,00.asp

What a joke. It's nothing more than a basic lookup table, that
has been used in thousands of applications for decades, but
the data is usernames from the system user database, instead
of data from an application database.

Wrong!
QDOS was written by Tim Paterson of Seattle Computer Products and was
different enough from CP/M to be considered legal.
Microsoft bought the rights to QDOS for $50,000.

A truer word was never spoken....along with having stolen many programs from others,
and succesfully having fought off in courts, as a result of lack of funds on the part
of those he stole from... and still robbing us blind by not finalizing the closing of
holes in his programs..... Took a page from the auto and other industries....
Don't make any thing that lasts long.....

An ol' CP/M Installer, (1) CP/M HZ89, and (2) MSDOS HZ128 Kit builder,
plus (3) Enlight Tower Abit IC7_G Towers.....
