Lost over 3 gig after defragging!

B

Brian

Flightless Bird
Hi,

I just cleaned up my disk (a weekly habit) and was left with 13.6 gig of
free space on drive C, which is the average free space I have had since
installing Windows 7.

Then I remembered that I hadn't defragged the drive, so I did that using
Windows 7's native defragging utility. It took about an hour to do the job,
and now the free space on drive C shows to be 10.3 gig!

where did the 3.3 gig go? I have never seen this before.

Regards,

Brian

And the Oscar goes to... MJMIII

You were right, it was system restore. After deleting the restore points
(except the last one) the free space is back to 13+ gig.

Thank you,

You're welcome. I'd take a bow, but around here that could be dangerous.
