Linux Ubuntu Really Is Better Than Windows 7

S

Smelly Pussy

Flightless Bird
I'll admit I was skeptical about trying Linux, especially after
reading all the Linux sucks messages. I have to admit though, after
trying Ubuntu Linux I am pleasantly surprised. There is so much
included with this distribution that I can't believe they give it away
for free! After using Windows 7 since the beta testing, I have finally
removed it and switched totally to Linux. It hasn't been completely
smooth, but overall, things worked fine for me right from the install
which only took 15 minutes.
I'm still trying to get my Lexmark printer to work.
I haven't figured out how to get sound installed but I have been
playing with a program called modprobe and it appears the driver
sound.o is not being loaded so at least I am making progress. The
other problem I am having is with my ATI card which doesn't seem to
want to go over 800x600 rezolootion. That's not acceptable on a 22
inch LCD monitor but I am working on that one. I should have the kinks
worked out by the end of the weekend. I can't believe Linux is free.
They could easily charge $100.00 for this software. You should try
Linux before criticizing it.
You might be pleasently surprised.
I am.

Kisses!

Your message could have been a lot shorter if you posted what actually did
work with Linux.

Looks like a typical Linux experience to me.

1. Install Linux and nothing works
2. Spend weeks searching the Internet to find solutions to problems.
3. Fix some problems but others crop up.
4. Remove Linux and go back to Windows.

It happens all the time and I'll hazard a guess that in a week or so you
will be back to
Windows 7.
BTW have you tried douching ?
It might help your smelly pussy.
If not, you'll fit right in with the unwashed bearded Linux masses.
Do you enjoy eating toe jam like this guy?

A lie.

Installed mine in less time than it takes to have a cup of coffee.

A lie.

LOL! *That's* funny.

A Fact.
Most things won't work with Linux. That's why the support forums are
filled to the brim with complaints and Linux victims seeking help.

Yea, now what?
Compile your kernel or play with emacs.
The choice is yours.

Of course you can always play a rip roaring game of Tux Racer!

A fact.
www.ubuntu.com

If all those downloads that the Linux freaks claim are happening were
still in use a week after they were first installed, we would not be
talking about Windows because it's market share would be very low.

The truth is, people download Linux, try Linux and then remove Linux
because they discover for themselves that Linux sucks!

A lie. I haven't had any problems since 06 with Ubuntu and everything
just worked out of the box. If that disappoints you, tough titties.

How about these things?:

Email
Surf the web
Burn CDs.
Rip CDs.
Listen to music.
Watch vidoes/DVDs.
Scan and print.
Spreadsheets.
Presentations
Newsgroups.
HTML editing.
Games like Chess, Tetris, all kinds of solitaire, etc.
Make videos.
Download photos from a camera and organize them.
Translations.
Use a dictionary
Learn how to touch type.
Edit images.
Send and receive a fax.
Take screenshots.
Create .PDF files.
Create and use a data base.
Instant messaging with over 10 different programs in one including
Windows Live Messenger.
IRC.
Bluetooth.

and much more!

What you can't do with Ubuntu:

Worry about:
WPA and WGA raising their ugly heads,
DRM,
Viruses,
Root kits,
Spyware,
and
Malware.

Never heard of it, sorry. I use Windows for gaming. After all, it is the
toy operating system.

You don't have to confirm how useless and clueless you are as that is
obvious.

Lol, it seems that almost everybody failed to understand the sarcasm of your
message.

Linux will be the real option to W7 as soon as it starts to cost at least as
much as W7, there's no such things as GOOD and FREE, believe me everything
that's good as a cost.
