IGMP Packets

Flightless Bird
With Win 7 using APIPA and sending loads of igmp packets, I wonder if I
should have my firewall block them. I am behind my own router and one in
my apartment complex. Windows APIPA cannot be turned off (sucks). So is
igmp really that dangerous. Most of the search results with Google are
quite old.

These are called ICMP packets. IGMP is a protocol.
