IE8 and Windows Live Personalized Experience Page Rendering

I find it odd that IE8 will not properly render this personalized web page
that is a Microsoft Product. When using IE8 after the page is fully loaded
the scroll bar disappears. If I middle click on the page and attempt to
scroll with the mouse, there is no content below the immediate window. All
other content below the main window is "gone". I just reset the browser,
because I was having crash problems, but the behavior occurred prior. This
page renders properly in Firefox. I think this is a project microsoft
started and for some reason just abandoned possibly. There are no longer
links to the page or mention of it. I thought it a nice configurable start
page personally and still use it (with Firefox only unfortunately). Does
anyone have a solution to this particular issue. There may not be one.

Thanks,
Gregg

Anyone know what "this personalized web page" is? The OP gives this
hint: it's a "Microsoft Product."

Are you referring to http://my.live.com which thinks I'm located in Seattle,
WA?

Got a bit carried away. It is the Windows Live Personalized Start Page

Whenever you ask a question about Internet Explorer, please tell us what
version of Windows you are using (with the service pack number).

Do you have the same experience when you start Internet Explorer from
the 'no add-ons' icon?

If you have XP: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)

If you have Vista or 7: Start > type Internet Explorer in the Start
Search box > click Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)

Do you have the same experience after you have reset Internet Explorer
settings?
