The 18th annual Southern California Regional Economic Forecast was released on Thursday. Positive annual job growth happened last year for the first time since 2007. Growth was about 0.6% and is expected to be about 1.7 % in 2012.

We can thank Orange county job growth of 1.1 to have spurred on the Southland. An incentive for the film industry also propped up the jobs.

Graphs for consumer debt is a little misleading. There are a few percentage points decrease but the graph makes it look like a huge drop. :p
