Sorry, Steve,
I made a mistake: When replying to your second posting I had overlooked
that in your initial posting you had said that ON had bee pre-installed
on your computer when you bought it.
This is a rather strange situation <!>: On most computers ON (as other
Office apps) normally is pre-installed only as a "trial", not a
*fully*licensed* version.
What makes me wonder: Haven't you got "recovery media" (CDs/DVDs) and/or
a "Recovery Partition" where from you might create the media needed for
a system restore?
You are right in that the Beta will expire sometime in late 2010 and
that you would then have to acquire a licence.
I'm sure, however, that - being used to the new version - you'd be
willing to pay for the licence. The new version really has to offer far
too much for being left out.
BTW: Different from the past, with Office 2010 ON will be included in
the standard Office editions.
Anyway:
You may be angry as angry could be.
You may shout as loud as you can.
However, none of us fellow-users would be able to do anything for you.
As said: Contact MS. Ask them for a CD.
Good luck!
Rainald
P.S.:
|| Also, I don't see the same message you see when you click on
|| the 60 day trial link for ON2007.
Believe Me, I do not dream such things!
Go to the ON-homepage
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/onenote/FX100487701033.aspx
Click on "Free 60-day trial"
