docked mode position

Is there a way of docking the OneNote window where I want?
On my system it docks to the top of the screen, which is far less convenient
that on the side. Yet in various illustrations on the net, it docks to the
side.
Where do you control that position?

Which version of ON?
Which OS-version?

ON and OS versions

OneNote 2010 beta
Windows 7

A few more info: When I first used Linked Notes (a wonderful feature, of course), the docking was indeed at the left side (which is also where I keep my Taskbar, since my screen is wide).
At some point, the docking went to the top, and I found no way of moving it.
This is a very annoying bug -- or feature :)

Thanks for the info.
I'm sorry for not being able to comment. I just have not yet played with
this feature :-( :-(

the solution

drag the docked window from the top to the side, as you would a toolbar.
