I just did a M$ update. Now the Devices & Printers just sits there and
searched forever, never displaying anything. Must I uninstall some update?
TIA, Paul

Try using a Restore Point from before the update first.

That's why I don't do Microsoft updates. Rule of thumb for all

I do do Updates and I am up to date and my Devises and Printers opens So
its not the update that's at fault

There are so many variables in a computer, an update that might
not hurt most setups, will cause problems on a few. Seems that is
what happened in this case.

I ran my AdAware, found 53 bad guys, removed them, and the problem went
away.
Thanks Trev.
