Hi,

Please include your Windows Version and service pack level and IE version
when posting to this IE newsgroup.

First try IE8 (assumed) in no-Addons Mode.

Do you have the Google Toolbar installed? It has a send link by email
function.

If IE8 get the latest IE8 compatible version (6) from toolbar.google.com

PS. Do not attach your profiles to a public post. Hackers can track you down
with the information that you supply.

Regards.

I did not open it. Nor would I. I practice safe hex and do not open
attachments from unsolicited public sources.

Even a picture of your OE profiles or your smtp email addresses can be
compromising.

Remember these are PUBLIC newsgroups, and they are also tolled by Google
spiders, so anybody can have access to the information about your Profiles
that you disclose.

No answers to the questions we need answered from you about your IE issue?

Regards.

My anti-virus flags sandboxie as a vulnerability and I removed it long ago.
I mostly use the IE Virtual Images from MSDN and technet for IE version
testing.

If you are using IE7 or 8 then sandboxIE will be the cause of your issue as
it will be using a sandboxed (vitualized) cache, that IE has no idea about.

When you request a Send link by email, IE looks in its cache and history for
details about the page you want to send. Of coarse IE has no idea about the
location of your sandboxed environment and so finds nothing. Even IE's
registry settings are 'sandboxed' so when you upgrade your real IE version,
the new settings of the new version are not updated in the sandboxed
registry keys. mmm... perhaps uninstalling then re-installing sandboxIE may
fix things for you.

Have you tried the sandboxIE website or forums for answers?

Regards.

Cheers rob,

PA is right of course...but whilst I'm here

I do not use sandboxie hardly ever, but can choose to open in SB if I
choose.
The reason I asked...was that then you could open attachments and your PC
would still be safe...would it not??

That said...it still does not tell me what to put in to the profiles box!!

Many thanks

Steve
