The first National Hepatitis Testing Day on May 19 is being promoted by the CDC. According to Dr. John W. Ward, CDC hepatitis chief, explains that they view “hepatitis C as an unrecognized health crisis for the country, and we believe the time is now for a bold response”.
Three quarters of cases are from Baby Boomers, born Between 1945 to 1985. The virus was identified in 1989.
