What could make this occur on only that newsgroup?

Read first: Don't judge any of this by checking the newsgroup via the
web-interface! There have been synchronization problems galore in the
web-based newsgroups for 10+ months now.

Tools | Options | Read | Get XXX headers at a time

The default is 300. You may set this option as high as 1,000. Right-click
on the newsgroup in Folders pane | Synchronization Settings | select New
Messages Only. Now every time you open the newsgroup (or hit F5), you will
download the next-newest set of headers/messages..

When you feel you've downloaded enough headers/messages, again right-click
on the newsgroup in Folders pane and select Catch Up Now. This will Mark as
Read all messages on the server, including ones you've not yet downloaded.
Now return to "Get XXX headers at a time" and uncheck the option completely;
then compact the folder.

From now on, OE will only download headers/messages posted to the server
since you last checked (polled) for messages.

Thank you P.A, Bear for your reply however I have been receiving advice and
occasionally giving help on MS newsgroups for years. I have been following
the procedure you mention. The problem only exists for THAT newsgroup and
the other posts I see there are current ones. Regarding my recent posts
there I saw posts before and after mine.
P.S. well aware of the sync problem but that doesn't seem to apply here.

Daave thanks for input.
I am betting that this "reply to group" will not post as I also cannot find
my reply to PA Bear.
The problem now seems to extend to reply posts and some new posts.
OH the +++++ was meant to indicate more parts of location that were
irrelevant to discussion.

It's possible Microsoft filtered your post. It sometimes happens. (It's
happened to me a few times.) Try again, first checking to see if there
might be any words that could be miscontrued.

Which news server are you using? Try posting to a non-Microsoft test
group to see what happens.

I am replying to your filtered post, PA Bear. I believe it was filtered

Bear This is a try using a new identity. Not sure if I want this as a fix as
I do not want to have two identities to confuse my life.

It looks like it worked.
Doing a review I see that my reply messages to bear do not get to NG in
reader but do in Google. my 0630 to bear//my 1152 to bear//my 354pm to
bear. my post to Bear with new identity did post.
TRUE also of Daave's messages replying to Bear. do not post here in NG OK
in Googol daave 351pm to Bear
I do not know about my original problem but all current strangeness relates
to replying to Bear. This is for your info Bear in case you see people
appearing to not respond to your messages.
