I listened to the Dan Rather book interview on Bill Maher's show (May 1 and could not help but wonder who are the owners of news distribution. Do you know?

It reminds me of a valuable lesson learned in graduate school - always cite the source.

Good question and What is news? and who decides that it is? One journalist with a major news distributor told me, News is what we say it is.

I don't know who feeds AP, Rueters, McClatchy, and other collectors of what people do and say and then sell it to publishers and other outlets.
