You are already using Win7. It has some pretty good security features
built-in. We may look like we are endorsing MS products if we were to tell
you which security software you should be using.<wink>
My Win7 is straight out of the box (with the Windows updates that are
installed the first time it is run), installed on a brand new machine built
by me, with no OEM 'extras'. I regularly troll known malware sites testing
the waters, but have had no problems. (I may add, that I think that I know
what I am doing when I purposely visit these sites and take precautions with
safe hex).
One nasty that will get by Win7 though, if you are doing an upgrade on a
previous OS or installing on a formatted disk is rootkit infections. See the
