“Revenue for each square foot at Apple stores last year was $2,489, compared with $971 at Best Buy, the big computer and electronics retailer, according to Forrester Research, a market research firm.” [New York Times]
The numbers aren’t too surprising when you consider what the two companies sell, however, what is very much worth paying attention to is that Apple is having success with their stores at exactly the same time that the PC OEMs have trended towards branded online stores.
Ah, statistics. They can be so much fun.
