Want to see how the Tablet PC is impacted by Windows Vista? A hint is on Microsoft’s site here.
The pieces look to be falling together. I’m not sure if the two screenshots shown indicates that there’s going to be shape recognition in the API, but that’d be cool. At PDC there was talk of it, but there hasn’t been much talk of anything so I’ve been wondering if it went the way of some other Longhorn features.
Another good sign for the Tablet is the re-affirming statement that ink is going to be integrated into the Windows Presentation Foundation as a “first-class member”. Fingers crossed.
I have a tablet PC that I have thrown vista on, but now I can not use extended monitor at all, I knew I wouldn’t be able to use the tablet, but not being able to change the monitors on a laptop is different any one had this issue yet in the early release?
Yeah, this version of Windows Vista is non-complete. It’s more useful for developers writing system level code or testing to see if their apps run OK than as a full featured end-user OS. Haring said this, the OS is surprisingly useful, but be sure to take along your hand hat.
