Terri has some great photos of the Gnomedex. Lots of bloggers and looks like a great showing of Tablets. Cool.
Bloggers and Tablets. A great combination. Actually, it’s beginning to look like Slates and Podcasting are a hot match. This is a trend to watch.
Two years ago who would have ever thought of such a combination? The TIP wasn’t even out yet. Array microphones were little spoken of. And podcasting wasn’t even invented. That’s one example of why predicting future trends isn’t so easy.
For the next two years, what’s next? My guess: Increased wireless coverage transporting more digital content: movies, podcasts, VOIP, locally streamed feeds, and on and on. Yeah, that’s the easy part. But sprinkle in sharing with the Tablet’s mobility and you have more and better communication with your friends, co-workers, and family.
I’m betting that computers will be more and more about communication over the next handful of years and sharing and accessing digital content in more places and in more ways is going to fuel this trend. It’s going to be exciting to see what unfolds.
Thanks to my new employer, I now have a Fujitsu 4010.
I have no idea what I am doing and I have no idea where to begin regarding software.
But I am looking forward to to discovering all that!
Cool!
