Microsoft Corp. today announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with ValueAct Capital, the largest shareholder of Microsoft common stock. Mason Morfit, president of hedge fund ValueAct Capital, has actively been trying to get a seat on the board for quite some time. Now that the agreement is signed, Morfit will be able to actively participate in decisions regarding Microsoft. Many spectators connected Ballmer’s resignation to this action.
